In my years of training and experience, I have found that when we bring a deep curiosity and willingness to encounter difficult or painful emotions, the therapeutic process of any individual can open up in surprising and inspiring ways. My path as a therapist and years of experience as a zen meditation student have given me the ability to sit in the face of all kinds of intense emotions and patterns. Together, I can help you to find your own inner resources that will quickly and powerfully allow you to change and heal patterns You have been experiencing for years or decades.

I draw from a few different skills or styles for this purpose. One you may have heard about is called internal family systems. This modality helps us to identify patterns and emotions in our life so that we can learn to relate with them in profound new ways. I help create a calm and spacious environment that allows us to experience a deeper and more compassionate way of finding our inner strength, willingness to engage, and even our true, authentic self.

I also draw a lot from attachment theory, which recognizes and understands how early childhood experiences help create deep and lasting styles of relating with ourselves, our environment, and our life. Fortunately, all of these patterns we have are able to be transformed.
